QUALITY ENGINEER A thorough understanding of standards for quality management systems including general aviation and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulation and requirements AS9100 experience is a must. NADCAP knowledge a plus. JOB FUNCTION: Responsible for Program Quality Engineering which includes design approval, planning approval, writing inspection instructions and customer/vendor interface on quality issues. Under minimal supervision, plans and conducts quality audits internally and externally, leads operational process improvement through metrics, problem identification, root cause analysis and developing and implementing corrective action. Takes a proactive role in helping drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. Ensures successful design and implementation of the metrics, quality plans, Statistical Process Controls, and internal audits. Provides quality training, consulting, and standards interpretations. Specifically responsible for Corrective Action analysis and will lead a Corrective Action Board. Performs other duties as requested by the Quality Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Requirements: BS in Engineering or equivalent experience and degree. Quality engineering experience (5-10 years). Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills. ITAR governed position: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident to qualify.
