C Diff Tests results are back and Billy has C DIff. This is causing him a lot of discomfort and he is now on a 7 day course of anti-biotics and is in isolation. After this he will have a 3 day period to ensure the spores are clear. So potentially his move is delayed by anything up to 10 days but he could be discharged sooner if the Doctors feel he is well enough to travel. Anyone wishing to visit him must contact me first as there are strict rules which need to be adhered to when visiting and Billy needs to rest and recover so we would prefer visiting to be kept to a maximum of 2 visitors at a time. Spoke to the hospital and asked how this has happened and their answer was, predictably, he caught it at Charring Cross! Of course he did. Left there over 2 months ago!! And they wonder why we cant wait to get him out of there? Frustrating times and watching Billy at the moment is distressing as he is not comfortable and has to be monitored closely at all times. Another set back and a huge let down which we all could do without. Everyone was so excited about the move and getting him settled in to his new surroundings. Gotta keep smiling and encouraging Billy but it is sometimes difficult to muster up the Happy Face as you walk through the door. But as the old saying goes The show must go on!
