C. S. Lewis became an English tutor at Magdalen College, Oxford, - TopicsExpress

C. S. Lewis became an English tutor at Magdalen College, Oxford, in 1925 and stayed there for 29 years (leaving to go to Magdalene College, Cambridge). So while he was writing Screwtape his day job was there. I thought you might like to see a picture of it. Magdalen College was founded in 1458 -- can you imagine? I wonder if you could ever get disenchanted with a place like this -- I dont think I could. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Magdalen-may-morning-2007-panorama.jpg
