C5 came out on top with one vote. :) C5) You decide that she’d rather hear the truth. “Loki convinced him to buy me from him. At first he was total Jafar mode on me, not really trusting me and whatnot, but after the camel bucked us off and he injured his head, we bonded and well, here are we. I really prefer the off-screen side of him.” You smile as you talk about the latter parts of your relationship with him. Carly frowns as you tell her about the beginning, but when you get to the latter parts, she too smiles. “Just had to know I could trust her was all. I didn’t want her to run off and get into trouble.” Jafar admits sheepishly. You laugh. “No, you really were intent on making me fulfill what Jasmine didn’t in the film by force before you got to know me!” You playfully accuse him. When Jafar just kind of chuckles in a sheepish way, all attention turns to him. “Hans actually wanted me to kill you…” He admits. “But when I saw you, I-I...I couldn’t bring myself to go through with it. That’s probably why he’s still after you.” You blink at him in shock. “Wow, is he a jerk.” You say. “Off-screen he’s a total villain. He probably could go through with his plan and succeed if he hadn’t failed in the movie.” Jafar nods slowly. “Both he and Mother Gothel. I hope you never have to meet her.” His comment is sincere. “Disney’s getting better at making lifelike villains. It’s scaring me.” You nod. That’s a sentiment you relate to. “So...how does the winter solstice figure into all this?” Kelli asks. “I don’t see how the simple shortest day of the year adds into this mess.” You and Jafar share a pained look. “The changling hours…” You whisper. “The solstices of both summer and winter allow people to change traits with someone else is how I understand it.” Jafar gulps hard. “A side effect is only being able to set foot on earth for only an hour at a time. An Earthly hour. Disney time moves 17 times slower than Earthly time. That’s why I’ve only aged two years.” Jafar explains it better than you ever could at the moment. “And I’ve missed you and our parents for every moment of it, Carly.” Carly then gives her brother a great big bear hug. Jafar hugs back just as tightly and you smile. “Thank you...for finally getting in touch with me, Jake.” Carly says this softly, as if she’s afraid of crying. “Our parents miss you so much.” Then the doorbell rings and Carly has to leave. Kelli gives a look that says she wants to leave. “We’re staying the whole hour, Kelli. I haven’t seen my sister in thirty four Earth years.” Jafar’s tone makes you realize he’s serious. Kelli catches it too and nods slowly. Carly comes in with two people following, a man and a woman. Jafar looks up at the footsteps and he’s almost in tears. He stands up and meets them half way into the living room. “Jake?” The man says. He sounds like an older Jafar. “Hi dad.” He suddenly sounds like a little kid as he hugs his parents. The woman begins to sob softly as he embraces her, and the man just gets teary eyed. You smile softly, knowing what that was like. Except...his reunion is much more emotional because they’ve been separated for longer than you had with your parents. “Oh, Jake, we’ve missed you so much. And look at you. You look like you haven’t aged but three or four years!” The woman exclaims, holding his face. “It is odd. You’ve been gone for thirty four years. Why come now?” The man looks hard at Jafar. “We ran into some...obstacles and I knew we’d be safe here.” Jafar explains. “Oh, mom, dad, this is my girlfriend as of this morning and her friend Kelli.” You stand and smile before introducing yourself. “She’s pretty.” His mother says. “My name’s Ella. My husband’s name is Hans.” Jafar cringes when she says his father’s name. You take in a sharp breath. “What?” His father questions. “Why does that make you cringe, son?” You and Jafar share a look. “Let’s just say that that name does not sound well boding at the moment.” You say. Jafar glances down at his watch, which makes you look at yours. Fifty minutes left. “Hate to be the damper of the party, but we’ve got other issues to be taking care of.” Kelli says, trying to get Jafar up and out of the house. “Kelli, they won’t find us here.” You say, trying to calm her down. Jafar’s parents share a look. Do you C7) tell them the story, or C8) divert their attention with stories about you and Jafar? Voting ends in two hours. :) -Studio Princess
