CA$H MOB is a play on words, derived from the term flash mob where people congregate to dance in a public place after a given cue. CA$H MOB encourages members to visit a given mom and pop business during a one week period in order to help that business survive and thrive. Many people have found new favorite places to eat and shop. Some businesses have been saved from certain closure. Others have experienced an increase in business not seen since before the economy tanked. Bottom line, supporting local businesses helps the community. 15% more revenue finds its way back into the community when we support local businesses as opposed to large corporate chains.
