CAFÉ REBELDE PRESENTS… Connecting the Dots: Ayotzinapa and the Violence Against Women On September 26, 2014, the Mexican state once again showed its role within the structures of narco-capitalism by brutally murdering 6 and disappearing 43 students in Ayotzinapa. This horrific event has become a window through which the international community can see the inherent injustice of the current political-economic order. Here a multitude of diverse struggles converge. Join us for an evening of delicious food, short films, engaging speakers, and community conversation as we probe the links between the events of Ayotzinapa, Indigenous struggles in so-called BC, and violence against women. This community event will also raise funds to support the family and friends of the 43 disappeared youth.
