#CAIR-WA: Muslims to March in July 4th Parade Team of more than 40 to include local US military veterans, doctors, nurses (Bothell, WA, 7/3/2014) - A team of more than 40 Bothell area Muslims will take part in the 2014 Bothell 4th of July Parade in Bothell, Wash. The Muslim team will carry banners and American flags, and will include families with young children, activists, military veterans, doctors, nurses, and community leaders. Many participants will wear T-shirts with American flags and women will wear headscarves with flags imprinted on them. Many of the group members will hand candy to parade watchers. “American Muslims are the most diverse religious group in America. We want our neighbors to learn more about their Muslim neighbors,” said Syed G. Mustafa, a Bothell resident and organizer of the Muslim contingent. “We are productive members of society and proud Americans.” WHAT: Bring your family and join us as we march in the July 4th Parade in Bothell! This is a half-mile parade at a leisurely pace and we will hand candy to parade-watchers as we walk! WHERE: Staging area where the group will meet and line up for the Parade is on corner of 104th Ave NE and Beardslee Blvd, Bothell, WA. WHEN: Friday, July 4, 2014. Line-up at 11:30am.
