CALL CONGRESS TO STOP BIG BROTHER FROM SPYING Today, the U.S. - TopicsExpress

CALL CONGRESS TO STOP BIG BROTHER FROM SPYING Today, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on H.R. 3361, the USA Freedom Act. This bipartisan bill takes a significant step forward in the fight to protect the privacy of U.S. citizens from spying by the federal government. It eliminates the NSA’s bulk data collection program and provides more accountability and transparency for domestic spying programs by the federal government. At the same time, it continues to provide the government with the ability to monitor and pursue true threats to our nation’s safety, within the framework of the U.S. Constitution. While H.R. 3361 is not a homeschool bill, HSLDA has been fighting against national databases of U.S. citizens for many years. We believe that this bill will begin to restore the privacy of U.S. citizens which have been eroded by government action in the past decade. Please call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 and ask for your U.S. Congressman, and please urge him or her to support H.R. 3361, the USA Freedom Act, to protect U.S. citizens from governmental spying. To find out more about this legislation, please read an op-ed by House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (VA): foxnews/opinion/2014/05/21/why-nsa-reform-bill-usa-freedom-act-is-good-for-america/
