CALL FOR AUDITIONS: The Department of English & Lord Denney’s Players present William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Richard II AUDITIONS: Meiling Hall 112. Monday & Tuesday, January 26 & 27th 4-7pm CALLBACKS: Meiling Hall 112. Wednesday, January 28th 4-7pm Auditions will be held on a first-come, first-seen basis each day; however, those desiring an appointment may schedule one by emailing assistant director Manuel Jacquez at [email protected]. Casting for roles in the play will be gender-blind, and a successful production requires diverse actors with diverse skills, thus we encourage all interested undergraduates, grad students, and faculty to audition, regardless of previous acting experience; non-traditional students are especially welcome. To audition, please prepare a Shakespearean monologue and bring a photo of yourself. An auditioning packet with an application form and selected sides from the play will be available to pick up from the English Department office in 421 Denney Hall beginning January 14, 2015. Copies of this application form will also be available to fill out on the spot as well as on the day of auditions. The production schedule for the show is as follows: Table Readings: Tuesday, February 3rd & Monday, February 9th at 6pm Rehearsals: Monday-Thursday, February 16th- April 16th from 6pm-10pm* *There will be no rehearsals during Spring Break Performances: April 17-18th, 23-24th at The Columbus Performing Arts Center Additional Information can be found online at https://english.osu.edu/2015-shakespeare-project
