CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE TO THE GLOBAL STUDIES ADVISORY COUNCIL Letter from Alexandra Délano, Acting Chair of Global Studies (2013): Dear Students, As you may know, the Global Studies program has an Advisory Council with faculty representatives from various departments across the university (see the list at the bottom). The Council meets about once or twice a year to give us advice and suggestions on different aspects related to our program, which is now entering its fourth year. We highly value students input and therefore one of the seats on the Council is reserved for one of our majors. The seat is now open and we are sending out a call for nominations for a new student representative. We know you are all extremely busy and committed to many things already across the university and beyond, but we hope you will consider this as a unique opportunity to participate in meaningful conversations that help shape our program and that will help improve your experience as well as that of your peers now and in the future. We would greatly value the opportunity to work with you and we look forward to your response. Please complete this online form to nominate yourself or a fellow Global Studies major: https://docs.google/a/newschool.edu/forms/d/1Vgry9_YvcDIgZ7fpEJz2Q5rWflUss-Kg44DBa0AFFao/viewform Nominees are required to submit a brief text explaining why they would like to participate in the GSAC and what they hope to contribute to it.
