CALL FOR PAPERS EFFLORESCENCE (ISSN 2278 3873) (PRINT) JOURNAL OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH NABA BALLYGUNGE MAHAVIDYALAYA EFFLORESCENCE– is a quality departmental journal published annually, which aims at providing a forum for our own students as well as for young researchers along with established authors for their scholarly and authoritative opinion/ views. It welcomes original and unpublished research papers on wide range of subjects, issues, trends, concepts, and genres based on specific themes or open issues. Issue 4: Tentatively May, 2014; Theme: The Short Story The origin, development and forms of the short story around the world is the focus of this issue of our journal. We are looking for innovative and interesting studies and re-readings of this interesting genre from contributors. Editing requirements: • Paper size: A4, Font & size: Times New Roman 12, Spacing: Single line, Margin of 1 inch on all four sides. • Title of the paper: bold, title case (Capitalize each word), centered. • Text of the paper: justified. Font & size: Times New Roman 12. • References: Please follow MLA style strictly. Don’t use Foot Notes. Instead use End Notes. • Titles of books: Italics. • Titles of articles from journals and books: “quoted”. • Articles should be submitted as MS Word 2003 or MS Word 2007 attachments only. • The paper should not usually exceed 2000 words (inclusive of citations) in single spacing. • Each paper must be accompanied by: i) A declaration that it is an original work and has not been published anywhere else or sent for publication. ii) A short bio-note of the contributor(s) indicating name, institutional affiliation, brief career history, postal address, mobile number and e-mail- send all these things in a separate single MS-Word attachment • Each contributor will get a complimentary copy of the issue. • Rejected papers won’t be sent back to the contributor. Process of Selection Prior to their acceptance for publication all articles submitted to Efflorescence are assessed by the Editorial Committee/Advisory Board. Acceptance/rejection will be intimated to contributors between 2-3 weeks of submission, after the review process is over.
