Since 2008, the foundation „Dr. Georg Haar“ in Weimar in co-operation with the European Youth Education and Meeting Centre Weimar (EJBW) are exploring ways of working with disadvantaged young people in intercultural projects. This aims at determining a framework, which is necessary for intercultural projects in order to make them a fruitful experience to disadvantaged participants. Based on jointly realised events in 2008 and 2010, first projects started in 2011 – e.g. the Youth Exchange “All in one boat for Europe” in Blois (France) and a meeting with youngsters in Hämeenlinna (Finland). By implementing the planned CME we will achieve - Building new partnerships between organisations which work with disadvantaged young people - Strengthening partnerships - exchange experiences of the different projects - Getting to know and experiencing methods and tools for working in international youth exchanges with disadvantaged young people - Getting a common understanding of international youth work - Developing together international projects for this target group in for the time frame 2016 – 2018 The CME will take place from Friday 19th June to Thursday, 25th June 2015 at the European Youth Education and Meeting Centre Weimar, Jenaer Str. 2/4, 99425 Weimar, Germany (ejbweimar.de).
