CALL FOR PRAYERS AND FASTING! Sad news from the Villanueva family. I’ve been told by Michael Villanueva to share the information at this time that former President Rufino Villanueva has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last week. After getting opinions from doctors in Cebu and Manila, the doctors are not optimistic and gave him 1 - 2 months left since the cancer already affected his liver. He will be going under an ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) procedure this coming December 8 in the morning, Manila Time. The family is requesting all friends and families to offer prayers and fasting the day before the procedure for our beloved mission leader. PRAYER and FASTING for PRESIDENT RUFINO VILLANUEVA DEC 7, SUNDAY On a personal note, I remember President Villanueva as a very caring and sincere leader. He has a good sense of humor, and quite a sportsman at whatever age. His genuine interest for each missionary to finish successfully is something I’ve witnessed first hand. He cares tremendously for each of us. While serving under his guidance, I have learned so much simply by watching him lead us, be a husband to his wife, and an example to his children. My gratitude to him and his family for adopting me into their circle even for a short time will not be forgotten. I have high respects for the man and the leader. I hope we take time in the coming months to reflect upon our own lives, and the many things he has shared to all of us. Lets take it upon ourselves, reflect, and send the much needed prayers to him and his family at this time. I’m am pretty sure the family will be grateful for all your support.
