CALL TO ACTION: DIE‐IN ON COURTHOUSE STEPS Los Angeles lawyers have organized a peaceful “Die‐In” to protest police brutality, which disproportionately affects black men, women, and children. We will lie down on the courthouse steps and surrounding sidewalk in unison to protest the police killings of unarmed people. As lawyers, we are sworn to uphold and enforce the laws and to provide leadership in our communities. We cannot stand idly by as we witness racial inequalities and injustices perpetuated by the legal system we are supposed to uphold. We must demand better! We call on lawyers, law students, and all those acting in solidarity with us, to protest these police killings, the failure to hold police accountable for these deaths, and the system that perpetuates these racist practices. We act in solidarity with others taking action to show that Black Lives Matter. This will be a peaceful demonstration. Join us in this Die‐In demonstration!
