CALLING ALL FEMALE ATHLETE SUPPORTERS!! This week the NCAA will vote on whether or not to continue to sponsor Equestrian as a varsity sport & as of now, it is not looking good for the Equestrian Community. My dear friend & former student Madi has always had her heart in 2 places: softball & equestrian. She played Division 1 softball her freshman year at George Washington University, but it simply was no linger her passion. After an emotional decision she chose to pursue Equestrian in college and accepted a scholarship at Baylor University. Last week she sent me a long message asking me to share the news that the NCAA was voting to remove the sport. She and I know this doesnt directly have to do with softball or catching however it does have to do with females being able to pursue their dreams, which is a personal mission of mine. Madi said this: This sport gives hundreds of women the opportunity to do what they LOVE and are PASSIONATE about while getting an incredible education, that for most, wouldnt be available without the sport. This is exactly what I want for all of my students & all of my parents daughters.
