CALLING ALL GODDESSES Soul Centre South and He.art.ful present QOYA .Through movement we remember that our essence is wise, wild and free. Heather Hubber will be offering a Qoya class at Soul Centre South, located upstairs in the Invercargill library. Monday 24th March at 6:50pm(the library doors close at 7pm) $10 Wear nice relaxed clothing to move in and bring a water bottle. Some mats are provided; if you have your own please bring it along. Come have some fun and dance authentically, bring a friend or two and let’s revel in the wonders of Qoya. :) Heather has a degree in Performing Arts majoring in dance and has experienced many movement techniques on her journey. Two years ago Heather came across a blog by American Rochelle Shieck, founder of Qoya. They shared a similar vision of combining yoga and dance for its therapeutic qualities. The magic of this occurrence created a connection they had to pursue. They met in Auckland a year ago and Heather took her Introduction to Teacher Training programme. It is now her time to share the gifts of QOYA to the women of Southland, willing to be empowered by movement. “Qoya is a shift in consciousness that evolves the way we have been taught to move our bodies as women. Drawn from the wisdom of yoga, creative expression in dance, and the pleasure found in sensual movement, Qoya helps women enjoy and revel in their feminine bodies.” rochelleschieck/qoya-in-person/about-qoya-classes-2/ Through Qoya we remember the physical sensation as truth. We remember those things that we can’t put into words, like when we see a sunset, when we are caught up in the contagious laughter of a child, those magic moments when life expands. Heather will guide you to connect with your breath, create an intention, move to the beat of your heart and dance your yoga. You will shake away that which doesn’t serve you and move freely to allow your light to shine. You will remember that your essence is wise, wild and free. There are no levels, no judgement. with Hummingbird Photography
