CALLING FEMALE EXPERTS IN NORTH AND MID WALES BBC Cymru Wales - TopicsExpress

CALLING FEMALE EXPERTS IN NORTH AND MID WALES BBC Cymru Wales wants to increase the number of expert women who contribute to our output on radio, television and online in English and Welsh. In an attempt to find new female contributors, we have arranged an “Expert Women/Merched Medrus” event at BBC Bangor on November 4th, 2014. The event is targeting women who live or work in north and mid Wales. In an informal atmosphere, the aim of the day is to give women who are experts in various fields of work an insight into how we work at the BBC, and help build a network of expert women contributors. During the day there will be an opportunity for those selected to experience the practicalities of being interviewed in a radio studio and on camera (these interviews will be for familiarization purposes and not for broadcast). There will also be an opportunity to meet production teams and fellow expert women. To apply for a place at this free event, you will need to be 1. Female 2. Able to speak knowledgeably about a subject (your profession or a subject outside work that you have an expertise) 3. Not already a regular contributor to BBC Wales output 4.
