CALLING OUT ALL RACERS!!! Once again, South Fork Motocross Park is the place to be this Thanksgiving weekend!!! There are Grand Championship Series (GCS), AMA District 13, and Mid-Atlantic Winter Series (MAWS) points on the line. See the D13mx website for information on classes and awards. Click on the GCS flier. Please share and like this post so it shows up on more FB news feeds. We will randomly select two people who share this post and give them a free practice pass. We will announce the winners on Saturday! There will be NO pitbike riding at this event. The single largest complaint we received repeatedly was to stop allowing pitbikes. We will allow golf carts but the driver must be 14 or older and display maturity and respect. There is a 5 mph speed limit outside of the race track at all times. Golf carts must have headlight to drive after 5 pm. Wilmoth Concessions arrives Thursday and will be prepared to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. PLEASE support the food vendor!!! Why bother yourself with food when it is already at the park? Wilmoth will be across from the sign-in trailer so you can’t miss them. This is fairly detailed to help those who are new to South Fork. For the regulars on the D13 race circuit, just skim through it quickly. It will answer most of the Frequently Asked Questions. THURSDAY: The gate will be open. You will be signing 2 waivers upon entry…one for South Fork Riders Association, LLC and one for the AMA. You will need to have $20 cash for every person over age 5 coming into the park. FRIDAY: We will hold a non-AMA practice day from 9am-4pm. The gate opens at 8am. You will need to have $20 cash for every person over age 5 coming into the park. You will sign the waivers and receive your wristband for the entire weekend. If you leave at the end of the Friday practice day and turn your wristband in, you will receive your $20 back. If you leave on Saturday and turn your wristband in, you will receive $10 back. Practice fee is $25 per class with South Fork membership card or $35 without a SF membership card. You will receive a separate colored band to put on the left side of your helmet chin guard. We expect to run four practice classes: A/B bike practice, C/D/85cc bike practice, 50/65cc bike and 50/70cc quad practice, and a large ATV practice (which includes 90cc and up ATVs). We will be running 15 minute practice sessions. This is subject to vary some depending on rider turnout. Cash only for gate entry payment. Practice can be paid via credit card ($2 surcharge) at the sign-in trailer. We will have a BONFIRE Friday night. We will light it at 4pm so it should be burning well by 5pm. You can enter the track at the scoring tower or the gate near the white shed at the front sweeper section. Do not climb the fence as the top rails are not made for climbing over. SATURDAY: Saturday is AMA Organized Practice for bikes and ATVs followed by ATV racing. There won’t be time to host pitbike races this event due to “racing” sunset of 5 pm. Gate opens at 6am. You will need to have $20 cash for every person over age 5 coming into the park between 6am and 4:00pm. You will sign the waivers and receive your wristband for the weekend. If you leave on Saturday and turn your wristband in, you will receive $10 back. You must leave before 11pm. If you arrive after 4:00pm, you will only pay $10 and cannot get a refund even if you leave before 11pm Saturday night. Sign-up Saturday opens at 7am, followed by practice from 8am-~1pm. There will be 10 practice classes. Each practice class is $25. You will receive a colored band specialized for this event only that must be worn on your helmet. You must be an AMA member to participate in this practice. The practice sessions are 9-10 minutes each. We guarantee 3 practice sessions per class. ATV racing scheduled for 2pm start time. Cash only for gate entry payment. Practice can be paid via credit card ($2 surcharge) at the sign-in trailer. SUNDAY: Sunday is an AMA District 13 Bike Only Race Day. Front gate opens at 6am. You will need to have $10 cash for every person over age 5 coming into the park. You will sign the waivers and receive a wristband for the day. There are no refunds given out on Sunday no matter when you leave. Sign-up opens at 6:30am with practice beginning at 7:30am. Racing action will begin around 9am after the riders’ meeting. You will receive 1 practice ticket for each class you are racing. If you are signed up for 2 practice classes and they run at the same time, talk to Jeremy about the appropriate class or wait until the make-up practice at the end. Cash only for gate entry payment. Practice can be paid via credit card ($2 surcharge) at the sign-in trailer. MORE INFO: This is an AMA Sanctioned event and AMA memberships will be available at the track. Membership in South Fork Riders Association, LLC is not required for the Saturday and Sunday AMA event. VZF Racing will be at the track all 3 days. Help support those who support you!
