CALLOUT: The team were called to a sports ground today to treat 3 casualties and transport them to hospital - an unusual callout for mountain rescue! The team were initially called to a 16yo with a dislocated knee, as a deputy team leader was on scene and offered the teams services to the ambulance service as the team were located near by, Whilst team members were treating the casualty, they were alerted to a second 16yo with a broken arm. The teams incident control vehicle, which also acts as an ambulance, was used to transport these two casualties to the Royal Derby Hospital. As it was leaving the ground, we were alerted to a third casualty, a 17yo boy with a possible spinal injury. Whilst some team members dealt with that situation, the team ambulance handed over its first casualties and returned to the scene to carry the third back to hospital.
