CAMPAIGN UPDATE: Family Day Care Australia has taken the next important step in executing its strategic response to the recent Government regulation imposed on family day care educators preventing them from accessing family day care for their own children. Following extensive investigation into how the Determination was made and what implications it will have, FDCA last night lodged our formal, comprehensive submission to the Senate Regulations and Ordinances Committee, and the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights requesting they seek disallowance of the regulation based on a number of key arguments. This submission was made with the endorsement of state associations. This morning we distributed a media release to all major metropolitan news outlets across the country to create further awareness of the issue. Today we have also launched our grassroots campaign which encourages YOU to play a vital role in protecting the rights of our sector by lobbying state and territory Senators to support disallowance.
