CAMRA 51st reunion photo. The CAMRA vintage weekend was a 3 day school for me. Dad never let anyone drive 13 back in the day. It had been 39 years since I drove my stock car at the super oval. My last race in the stock car was the Dan Crow benefit @ Meridian. Wanted to get to the track on a Thursday practice night in early August, but small issues kept the car in the shop. We had to preform a modification on the dash to get proper leg clearance at the track Thursday. Did two practices Thursday, 2 on Friday, then started both the vintage c & b mains Friday night, then pulled off. Learned a lot about the car and myself to carry with come next summer. Eric Miller was my mentor all weekend, big thanks to my crew Steve Towery, Sean Hackworth & Mike Jacobs. Also to Brendan Watt. Built the car for exhibition purposes, not to go wheel to wheel with the pink lady. 13 is........ well, just to nice of a car for that It is a tribute / exhibition car. Been working on the brakes and a few items for next year. Looking to get it in the Boise Roadster Show in March 2015. then to the Idaho Historical Racing Open House @ Printcraft. Meridian is going to have 3-4 Vintage dates next year. Im looking forward to getting up to speed with the car, it felt very comfortable beyond my expectations. Thanks again to Brad Hunziker for 10 months of working on the car almost everyday. Think I called him 3 times each of those days, plus scanning old photos to him. I even drew some rough pictures when we did not have any rear torsion pictures to go by, see photo drawing. I now have even more respect for my dad and how he made #13 a winner many times over from 1964 to 1978. So...more seat time come next year and who knows, maybe the left front will dance some for all of us. ps, It is in the back room at Printcraft for the winter. Stan Fuller
