CAN GOD CHANGE HIS PLAN? God is often conceived of as constant, unchangeable, loving, faithful, and just. Even though we know that God doesn’t change (Malachi 3:6) for He is the same today, yesterday and forever (cf. Heb. 13:8), different biblical experiences show God changing His mind or plan. For example, Abraham tried to negotiate with God concerning His plan to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18:23-33), God change his plan concerning the destruction of Nineveh (Jonah 3:10), and so on. But you see God is still constant on the salvation of his people. Thus says the Lord, “Do I want the death of the sinner? Do I not rather want him to turn from his ways and live? But if the righteous man turns away from what is good and commits sins as the wicked do, will he live? His righteous deeds will no longer be credited to him, but he will die because of his infidelity and his sins” (Ez 18:23-24). Meaning that one thing that can make God change His plan or will concerning you is your own change. DOES THAT MEAN THAT PRAYER CAN CHANGE GOD’S PLAN? Be Blessed.
