CANCER STRIKES AGAIN!! Rich Giglio has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Large Cell Lymphoma. Its a cancer that effects the spleen and lymph nodes. Chemo treatment starts tomorrow, and will go on for 6 months. The prognosis is very good as this is one of the most treatable forms of lymphoma. Rich has good health insurance and his medical needs will be taken care of. He will be unable to work for the next 6 months and needs help meeting his living expenses. Being self employed he does not qualify for disability. I will be helping him with getting connected with and applying for assistance that may be available through SWEET RELIEF MUSICIANS FUND. Rich has been part of our blues community for many years, Playing great guitar and a supporter of many of our jams. Heck hes thrown some great warehouse jams that weve all been a part of at one time or another. Ive actually met several of you at one of those jams. I want to put together a fundraiser for him within the next 3 to 4 weeks. Time and place to be determined. Anyone that wants to be involved please contact me.
