CANCER: cannot take away your faith, shatter your hope or lessen your love. It cannot destroy true friendship,invade the soul or take away eternal life. It cannot conquer your spirit. (Vodra Techau wrote, thinking about you today!) Rough day while yet a wonderful day. After my chemo pump was removed (yeah) today, I received a phone call from my dentists office saying that although a bill is in the mail that we should ignore it as someone stepped into the office paying ithe bill in full. Needless to say, I was moved and choked up while tears started streaming down my cheeks. This chemo may, hopefully, kill the seeds of cancer but it also destroys other parts of our body. A couple of my front teeth started to crumble .... not good! Getting permission from my oncologist to have an evaluation then an ok for the dentist to treat the problem, was really a big deal! This cancer expense is mostly covered by medicare and our 2nd insurance but remains expensive all the while. Ministers and missionaries usually do not make a great deal on retirement. God continues to provide! Those words come from your heart and experience, for sure. God is our Helper all the time. Praise His Holy name forever! Prayer is a requirement as taught by the Good Shepherd. That Good Shepherd went about doing good not simply praying but using all the resources available to give hope, love, encouragement, and life to oh, so many people. May we neglect neither prayer nor going about doing good! To the one(s) who paid the dental bill: THANKS BE TO GOD that your prayers went beyond the bent knee and clasped hands to doing good!
