CANOPY Beneath a dense canopy Lies a carpet of glee Fruiting, Blossoming Trying to break out free And glide into a halo Out from the shallow Where zest pervades And hope remains To seek a place Truly made for me Beneath a dense canopy Permeates a fresh air An air of change A gale of resistance Flowing in my veins To cover up the flaws To evade the claws And live again With a new zeal The lights No matter how dim Are enough to illuminate The cheerful brim As I prepare to escalate Innervate from enervate Back from the abyss To the fathomable bliss As no qualms No shams Can slain my effort To relive As the flowers of luck Are stuck in the muck Growing everyday Taller, Stronger In the light Coming out from A dense canopy
