CANsasCAN We were among the only few people at the zoo in Salina, Kansas yesterday. We were freezing and big Jonathan was wearing his 3 coats (including his down-filled Big Hero 6 coat that we tease him unmercifully for, but he cant part with) and he was lagging behind. We left him behind and went to the reptile house. During that time, he was reflecting with the camels and saying, Ju, I miss you and really wish you were here with your sister today. Maybe you could send me a sign? As I was coming OUT of the reptile house and he was just arriving, he saw the only other couple there and he stopped the girl and asked about her Texans snow hat (he noticed out of the corner of his eye). While they were chatting and he was telling them about our Walk Across America for pediatric cancer awareness, I became very distracted by her mittens. I knew in my heart❤️ what they stood for- CAN!!!!!!!! That was our Ju sign! Yes, the guy was from Edmonton, CANada and that was the reason for the mitten emblem, but it was so much more than that! It was Ju! It was CAN! It was JuCan!!!! Sometimes God makes you wait and sometimes He listens and answers right then! He was right on time today on Jennas birthday! HE was so great that he moved this Houston, Texas girl- with her CANadian boyfriend- to pull those CAN mittens right off her hands and give them to me! She said she wanted me to have them! I didnt know what to say! It meant more than a pair of mittens from a country near and dear to me, but it meant CAN! It meant Ju was with us today, that we are on the right track, and to keep on WALKING! I yelled to her as she walked the other way, thank you!
