CAPE TOWN Senior Stores Controller RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative: ?Control all stores-related activities focusing on inventory movement (receiving / issuing of components) and the management of inventory levels. ?Assist with the procurement process in terms of orders placed and received, as well as the relevant documentation. Operational: ?Ensure the efficient supply of raw material / inventory components to production. ?Manage raw material / inventory components receiving and issuing. ?Issue daily shortage / supply reporting and control ? minimised stock-outs. ?Attend report back Weekly Production Meetings and Operations Meeting. ?Setting and managing minimum / maximum Kanban levels. ?Ensuring adequate stores control systems are well maintained. ?Ensuring cycle counts are conducted and addressed as required ?Ensuring stock take is conducted as per procedure. ?Ensure issuing of stock is well managed and controlled. ?Ensure stores housekeeping is at world-class levels. ?Report on and address slow moving stock. REQUIREMENTS: ?Matric ?4-5 years experience in stores control environment. ?Preference will be given to candidates who have furthered their education in the field of stores and / or procurement management. ?Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Excel (Syspro knowledge will be advantageous). ?Experience in a production environment, preferably refrigeration manufacturing. ?Good organisational skills. ?A strong operations understanding and mind-set. ?Attention to detail. ?Assertive, able to lead a team and manage a dynamic environment. ?Quality and accuracy-focused. ?Willingness to work overtime. ?Ability to work under pressure. ?Looking to grow within the company.
