CAPS UNITEDS TITLE HOPES DENTED PUBLISHED BY @DAILYNEWSZIM HARARE - CAPS United’s Castle Premiership title hopes suffered another blow after they were held to a goalless draw with FC Platinum here yesterday. The Green Machine failed to recover from last weekend 2-1 defeat at the hands of struggling Triangle and with draw yesterday they are now seven points behind log leaders Dynamos with three games to go before the end of the season. After the match Makepekepe coach Taurai Mangwiro said they have themselves to blame but believed that they still have slim chance of winning the title at the end of the season “We have ourselves to blame for failing to collect maximum points today,” Mangwiro told reporters. “What we wanted today was to get three points but we failed to do so. “We are going to give it a fight in as far as the championship is concerned but like what I always said our major target this season was to improve from last season performance and I am happy that we are three points way from achieving our target with three matches to go. “I think today we did not do much in terms of creating opportunities and when we created those few chances we lacked that killing instinct. His opposite number Norman Mapeza was delighted with a point away from home. The platinum miners stile have a good chance of making into the top four as they are on fifth place with 45 points. “It was a balanced game, for me I think a draw is the fairest result,” Mapeza said. “We still have chances of finishing in the top four what we want is to remain focused for today I am happy with a point.” “I told my boys that we need a positive result and I am proud of my boys they are doing a great job, we only failed in the final third today.
