Proverbs 24:1-2: “1: Do not envy wicked men, do not desire their company; 2: for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble. ” Have you been asking one particular question about your career today? The Bible admonished us not to compare ourselves with each other. There is a God at work in us to do according to his good pleasure. Do not panic, do not continue asking questions as if there is no God in your life, as Christian lawyers our number call is to look up to Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith who endured all world panic and criticism and all comparison, He was focus on the High calling and that secured him His crown in heaven. When you have an expectation, you think less of who makes much or less but let the kingdom passion consume you. Jesus at a time said, the zeal of my fathers work consumes me... Let the work of God under your care consume you and God who rewards all labour in His own time shall make you a testimony. PRAY: let me desire you more and more and work on the path for which Christ has set me free. May the beauty of your work kill every passion for comparison and competition but let me rise in humility looking unto you for strength to pursue my call as a true Christian lawyer.
