Additionally, could perform material and/or production inspections as needed, utilizing a wide variety of quality inspection tools and methodologies. Documents and reports on non-conformances and participates in improvement actions. Job duties for the Quality Assurance Specialist include: 1. Perform document control functions; creating, revising and issuing quality documentation utilizing good PC word and excel skills. 2. Documents work procedures for identified job tasks and/or areas that needs improvement. 3. Provides support to the quality manager for metrics utilizing good excel skills, and ISO requirements as needed. 4. Conduct material and product inspections to ensure conformance. 5. Conducts and controls gage calibration as needed. 6. Complete certificate of conformances and/or other customer required quality documentation. 7. Participate in the documentation of non-conformances and CAPA’s as needed. 8. Communication to supplier’s on assigned CAR’s to ensure effective improvement actions are achieved. Requirements for the Quality Assurance Assistant: 1. 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment. 2. Capable of documenting or revising work instructions, procedures. 3. Good PC skills, very proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. 4. Proficient with quality department measurement gages and instruments. 5. Capable of reading blueprints. 6. Good verbal and written communication skills. 7. Familiar with ISO requirements. 8.
