CASE NUMBER: 1859901 ALEXANDER QUAYE GARLO CASE STORY: We were residing at the camp Johnson road, in Monrovia area, and later we moved across the new bridge area, that was controlled by the rebel; leader Princes Johnson. Specifically we were at Duala Market area, when on that faithful day of September 10th, 1990 rebel soldiers led by Saye, a rebel captain loyal to war-lord Princes Johnson burst into our premises. I could remember how they dragged my father outside as well as my mother, simply because they were members of the late president Samuel Does political party ( N.D.P.L). They started beating me and they hit me on my right leg with a very sharp object, I was bleeding, by then; they had taken my parents and started torturing my parents. They tied me up with electric wire and took my parents behind our house. I heard my mother screaming saying please dont kill us before I knew it, I heard gun shots and then a complete silence. I knew that they were shot dead. I screamed, when I heard the shots, but the other rebels continue to beat me severely on my back and it got swollen up. They beat up my right leg repeatedly with the butt of a gun. They tied up my legs and hands to kill me. But fortunately for me, they came under a heavy fired from ECOMOG peace keeping troops. They excused leaving me lying on the ground tied-up I could not move. The ECOMOG soldiers rescued me and immensely give me First-aid treatment, I did explained to them what had happened, and took them at the back of our house and there we found bodies of my parents lying dead on the ground, they were tied with their hands on their backs and legs were also tied, they were shooted in their heads and chest, I screamed and cried aloud until the ECOMOG peace keepers consoled me and took me away from the war-zone to their base. There I met our neighbor, Mary an elderly woman who took me to Ivory Coast, we left Liberia for Ivory Coast on September 27th, 1990. I was in Ivory Coast until tension erupted between the Ivorian authorities and other Liberian rebels faction, called the Liberian Peace Council (L. P. C). Fighting was reported in Tai at Guiglo District in Ivory Coast, this caused me to leave Ivory Coast and arrived in Ghana on February 20th 1999. I cannot return to Liberia because my brother peter left Ivory coast in 2001 upon his return were killed by unknown gun men believed to be loyalist for former war- lord turn politician Princes Johnson. They dined their involvement of his death. Similar fate awaits me, IF I return to Liberia and not to mention bringing the killers of my parents to justice. I have been informed that Saye, the rebel captain, called the blood-sucker is one of the body guard to rebel leader- turned politician Princes Johnson, who is currently the senior senator of Nimba County. Sir, please look into my case story, due to this I cannot return to my home Liberia, until I am fully convince that my life will be safe.
