CASE UPDATE: The woman found deceased on the LA Highway 182 bridge Tuesday morning has been identified and next of kin has been notified. While the investigation is ongoing, at this point, detectives do not suspect foul play. Because of the nature of the case and out of respect for grieving family and friends, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office will not be releasing any further details unless the circumstances of the investigation change. Again, this is an active, open, and ongoing investigation. Any questions regarding identity or cause of death should be directed to the St. Mary Parish Coroner.
