Please do the right thing and call or text 403-596-4860 with any information you have. Rio has been missing from Timberlea in the Cartier/tower road area since Oct 16. We let him out in our front yard for a pee and he just disappeared. My gut feeling since he has been gone is that someone has picked him up, possibly because they thought he was wandering because he wasnt on a leash. Rio was never a wanderer so I do not believe that he ran away. I believe that either someone is not seeing these posts or is not willing to give him back at this point. I ask that everyone willing to help to please check your own backyards especially in places a small dog could hide, and keep your eyes and ears out around your neighbors homes especially if you think they may have just inquired a new tan colored long haired chihuahua, and lastly, ask your neighbors if theyve seen Rio around. It is very possible that this is a totally innocent incident and someone accidentally picked Rio up believing they were saving him and are not seeing all the Facebook information and posters around town. In saying that, Ive gotten to witness first hand the kindness in people hearts and the willingness in people to help a complete stranger, and I am so grateful. All of the help weve received is giving our family so much hope and were just so proud to be able to be a part of such a heartwarming community. Thank you everyone, from the bottoms of our hearts.
