CASHGATE, CORRUPTION AND THE ELECTIONS According to Anti Corruption Bureaus investigations, the people that were involved in Cashgate at the Army were General Odillo, Major General Msonthi and Major General Kafuwa. These people are very afraid of Peter Mutharika winning the election. The ACB has both phone call and SMS records of Maxwell Namata and Major Generals Kafuwa and Msonthi discussing companies to use and the percentage cut for the owners of the companies. In one SMS with Major General Msonthi, they are discussing how they should avoid mmwenye Shiraz, who they believe is dealing directly with General Odillo while giving them peanuts and instead use Luke Kasamba (Namatas cousin) company. Also remember General Odillo testified against Peter Mutharika in the Bingu enquiry and fears that once Peter is sworn in as commander-in-chief, he will be the first casualty. On Saturday morning, MDF decided at their meeting, in which the three mentioned officers were present and the general chaired, to take over government. They would take over the country. They would put both MEC and Peter Mutharika under arrest under the pretence that they are protecting him after instigating riots. They would also take over MBC and ZBS. It was on their direction that the president issued the unconstitutional election nullification order. Events turned in the way they did not expect, however, and now they have decided to nullify the election through the backdoor by putting enormous pressure on MEC to recount the votes and make sure that anybody but Mutharika is the winner. This is the truth behind the election shenanigans. Not the so-called rigging allegations and such. The rigging and recounting strategy is to buy time and manipulate the system to ensure that Peter Mutharika and the DPP do not win this election.
