CASS COUNTY, TX - Cass County Sheriff Larry Rowe confirms a deer hunter stumbled upon human remains Monday afternoon around 1 p.m. off of FM 2791. Sheriff Rowe said the hunter found a skull and other skeletal remains on FM 2791 North, between Douglasville and Atlanta, Texas. Investigators also found clothing and an ID at the scene. Sheriff Rowe said the remains have been sent off for forensic testing in Dallas. The sheriff said he feels confident that he knows the identity of the human remains, but will not confirm until medical examiners make a positive identification.
