CASTING CALL GREENSBORO NC AREA PAID NON UNION SEEKS CHILD ACTOR FOR VERY SCARY SHORT FILM Mad Ones Films, an award-winning Greensboro-based film company (“Between Hell and a Hard Place”; “The Gospel According to Booze, Bullets & Hot Pink Jesus”), is seeking out a lead child actor for its newest short film “Don’t Let the Light In”. The role we are casting for is for a young boy named Jack. Jack is a sweet and sincere boy, a little shy at first, but playful and precocious like most boys. However, Jack also has a secret – one that he keeps trying to tell people except that no one will listen to him… until Sarah, the new babysitter, shows up. Jack thinks there are monsters in his room, and by the end of the night, Sarah will completely believe him. Candidates should be between the ages of 5-8, with blue eyes and blonde hair. Previous professional acting experience is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate should be precocious and professional, with a terrific screen presence and just a hint of a dark side. Principal photography will take place over the course of one day/evening this spring, locally around North Carolina (within 1.5 hours of the Triad).
