CASTING CALL Hey, my film club, SPACE, is filming our first video on Saturday at 10:00 am. This is a mockumentary style film about people making a college ad video, and the director puts the cast in stereotypical roles, and the actors talk about why they do not like the roles in Office style interviews. Comment your emails if you are interested and I will email you the script. There are a few main roles, but if you want to be involved you can be an extra. We will cast based off of who signs up first, and who we believe fits the role best. We will gender bend the roles if needed. Frank (Male 18 - 20s African-American) Middle class, and kind of dorky. After the first take of the commercial, he starts to feel uncomfortable about the role he has agreed to play, along with the others. Marie (Female 18-20s Asian) A law student who has a punk look to her. She is annoyed with the fact that she is forced to play the uptight Asian stereotype. Individuals with piercings, colored hair, and/or tattoos are preferred, but will accept anybody. Jahansha (Female 18-20s Indian/Pakistani) A student who must do a yoga role, however is more confused by the entire thing rather than offended like the others. Josh (Male 18-20s White) An undeclared anarchist who plays a political science major. Individuals with tattoos would be preferable, but will take any. Sam (Female 18-20s White) Plays the stereotypical white girl in the commercial along with being Joshs girlfriend in it while being Franks girlfriend in real life. Bruno (Male 18-20s Any race) Pothead that does not even go to the university Director (Male 18-30s Any race) Guy who has nothing but the best intentions for this commercial but is trying too hard to make the school diverse the school is.
