CASTLEMAINE DANCE.[The Australian Sat 5 Sept 1925] On Friday, August 28, a very enjoyable dance was given in the Mechanics Hall,Castlemaine, by a number of young hotesses. The hall was decorated with baskets of almond blossom and japonica suspended below a diamond shaped centrepiece, from which red and white streamers were carried across the hall. The hostesses were Miss Winsome Steele, who wore petunia satin with a deep yoke of gold lace Miss Mollie Wells, in a frock -of flowered georgette;Miss Betty Fitts, in rose pink georgette with sequined panels; Miss Nelly Cameron,who wore a sold lace frock; Miss Belle Lawson, who came in a frock of gold tissue,with overdress of georgette; Miss Alison Thompson, whose frock was of jade green georgette, with gold embroidery on skirt;Miss Lucy Newell, who came in mauve brocaded satin, with marabout trimming;Miss Zita Adams, in apricot satin; Miss C.Vanston, in green brocaded marocain; Miss K. Dunn, in a frock of apricot satin, with georgette godets; Miss Ruth Bryant, in primrose satin; Miss B. Bailie, in royal blue,with grey marabout trimming; Miss Elsie Cornish, in green and gold brocade; Miss R. Williamson, in orange chenille georgette;Miss Lena Pritchard, in a frock of pink georgette; Miss Claire Wardell, in eau de nil marocain, with deep silk fringe; Miss Melva Vick, in sky blue georgette; Miss Lexie Penney, in cherry coloured georette,trimmed with brown fur; Miss Isobel Tolstrup, in a becoming frock of blue georgette,trimmed with touches of silver; Miss L.Appel, in tangerine marocain, with a deep band of brown fur; and Miss Ivy Owens in pale gold satin. Each hostess wore a tiny,posy, tied to her wrist with silver ribbon. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. H. S. W.Lawson, Mr. and Mrs. K L Williams, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. MacRae. Mr. and Mrs H.
