Important tips to the Candidates in the Final Year of Graduation If you are a candidate appearing for the final bachelors degree or equivalent qualification examination, you must obtain a certificate from the Principal/Registrar/Director of the university/institution certifying that you have obtained 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and DA category) based on latest available grades/marks. You will be required to show the original and submit an attested copy of the certificate at the time of interview. The deadline for submission of the mark sheet and the certificate is December 31, 2015. Non fulfilment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission. Provisional admission will also be cancelled if it is found that the certificate is found to be incorrect subsequently. IIMs would not allow any candidate to join their programme in case the candidate is unable to complete all the requirements for a bachelor degree on or before June 30, 2015. The IIMs would also not offer admission to any candidate after 30.6.2015. Don’t lose heart Aspirants who didn’t score a high percentile shouldn’t lose heart. CAT is not the end of the road. Number of institutes that accept CAT scores also accept XAT, GMAT, CMAT scores. While XAT has more than 100 very good B schools associated to it, CMAT also caters to a large number of institutes. Sometimes you score high in XAT and GMAT than you did in CAT which nullifies the adverse effect. The 13 institutes with SNAP have also been providing good education and placement opportunities to their students. NMAT conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai is no less an important MBA entrance test. Expert Advice Prof. S.K. Agarwal, expert and mentor suggests the candidates to get ready for final admission round and should now begin their preparation for GD/PI/WAT without any further delay. Number of aspirants despite scoring a very high percentile and receiving a call from top IIMs couldn’t convert their call due to poor performance in GD-PI-WAT round. Once you are shortlisted, focus sincerely and seriously on improving your writing skill for WAT, communication skill for PI round.
