CAT LADY KNOWLEDGE NEEDED: Last year I had a few giant carpenter ants in the house and now I understand because the tuck-pointer showed me that all my windows have rotten wood--but thats okay because Im planning to replace them. After the freezing winter the carpenter ants seem to have died or left and their are tiny black ants making nests all over my neighborhood including my yard. The last couple days I have little black ants in one corner of my living room -- the corner Gingi likes to hide in when people come in the house--but only two or three each evening. At the moment I have lines of baby powder in that corner but if I were to buy baits -- would be safe for my cat???
