CATV tech submitted photo: Found while tracking noise. There were 3 customer home runs into the ped. Each had splices to make them long enough to reach the tap. The only splice that was changed out was the one feeding the modem and powering the house amp. The other two were concealed with air shrink. I guess to fool the QC guy. The neglected splices were the problem, and needing the house amp in the ped should have been hint enough that there was a problem at the location. Tap levels were good.
