CBC Men - Come barbecue with us this Saturday at 5:30 as we start our new ministry series. Heres what well be talking about over the next several months: Successful Biblical Manhood As our society continues to try and convince men they are just brutish and that appealing to our baser nature is not just okay, but right, many Christian men struggle concerning whether and what kind of success is proper for them to strive for. Isn’t there more to us than lust and greed, being slobs and buffoons? Can we be strong men? Can we love our wives with passion? Raise our kids to meet their potential? Succeed at work? Absolutely! Over the next several months, we will investigate what the Bible has to say important matters in men’s lives, and how we can grow in our love for God and our ability to live in the ways He wants us to. Our study will be led by Gerald Grafe, a deacon at Celebration and a man who has experienced significant success as a husband, a father, and professionally. Gerald and Lynda have been married for thirty years and have raised six children, all of whom love the Lord. Professionally, Gerald is currently the CEO of Senior Scientific, a medical research company working on new cancer diagnostic methods. Prior to working with Senior Scientific, Gerald served as legal counsel and advisor to over 100 early stage companies, with successes in strategic IP and patent planning, venture capital financing, and technology transfer. Before he began his work with startup companies, Gerald was an attorney in Sandia National Laboratories, where he worked as Intellectual Property legal counsel for divisions including robotics, computing, and systems. Gerald has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M, and an MS and JD from UNM. Come investigate the questions weve come up with, and feel free to bring a few of your own. Kickoff event: BBQ at Celebration Baptist Church, 5620 Laredo Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM Bring side dishes and whatever you want on burgers and hot dogs. Ongoing study: Every 2nd Saturday at Celebration at 8:30 AM. Bring your own breakfast food contribution.
