CC Alusa An experienced AP earns plus allowances sh.32000 with a tax PAYE of sh.4000 monthly,other taxes leaves about sh.25000 as the net salary. In Kenya without a loan you may die poor so he pays the loan by sh.18000 hence takes home sh.7000. This guy has a family to take care of as the bread winner,pays rent in town and back in the rural he has to send something monthly. Surely,if an MP who earns sh.800,000 takes bribe,why not him??? Al shabaab offers a bribe of sh.100,000 at the border where refusal may also mean the police armed with AK47 or G3 dies by grenade or machinegun. Any Kenyan would take the bribe. The system has failed from step one. Pay the police well,provide good homes and arm them to the level recquired in 21st century. Security is not a good speech Mr.President.
