CCC’S CENTER FOR CIVIC LEADERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY SETS FALL SCHEDULE The Center for Civic Leadership and Responsibility at Camden County College is hosting a variety of events this fall. Starting in September, the Center will offer programs ranging from its popular returning autism series with Professor Jennifer Hoheisel to a Korean War series to a continuing discussion about Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. Some highlights of the schedule include: ● “A Basic Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorders” presentation on Sept. 30. ● “Atlas Shrugged” presentation on Oct. 10. ● “Girl Rising” film screening on Oct. 17. ● “Sounds and Lyrics of Baseball” presentation on Oct. 22. ● “In Search of Osama Bid Laden and Al-Qaeda: Intelligence Analysts Discuss Their Roles in the Pursuit of Terrorists” panel discussion on Oct. 29. Camden County College created the Center for Civic Leadership and Responsibility, headed by Professor John L. Pesda, in 2007. It offers public programs to the community with a goal of creating an informed citizenry through exploration of humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and issues critical to a democratic society. Most of the Center’s lectures and events take place in Civic Hall of the Connector Building on the College’s Blackwood Campus.
