CCSO gets involved in Huachuca City, after all . . . maybe? ======= Shelley Knuffke reports that CCSOs Eric Encinas visited her today at the Huachuca City home she shares with Brad Colwell and asked about the break-ins, burglaries, mail theft, dog poisoning and harrassment. She says that Encinas was directed by Sheriff Mark Dannels to pick up the file at Huachuca City Police Dept and that he spent at hour with her asking questions, taking statements. Encinas also spoke with Rena Taylor, wife of Mayor Ken Taylor. The Taylors live across the street from Colwell and Knuffke. Knuffke is leading a recall effort against Taylor, forcing a special election in March. Knuffke had sent a second e-mail, Friday, to law enforcement agencies in Cochise County, plus the FBI and AZ AGs office, saying she was not safe in Huachuca City, that the police were not investigating her complaints. In response to an earlier request for help 4 weeks ago, Sheriff Dannels had left her a voicemail message saying that the CCSO could not get involved unless HC Police Chief Dennis Grey asked for help. It was Friday that a man in his 60s knocked on Knuffkes door and told her to get the f**k out of town and spit on her screen door before leaving. He would not identify himself. Knuffke called the Huachuca City Police as was told oh, its you . . . well have to call the county but never sent an officer to see her.
