*** CCTV Released Following Armed Robbery at Convenience Store, Ormesby *** Detectives are releasing CCTV following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Ormesby. The robbery took place at around 3.30pm on Longbank Road on Friday 17th October. A man entered the store armed with a weapon, believed to be a hammer, and demanded goods while making threats to a male member of staff. The man caused damage to the counter, before fleeing with a very small number of cigarettes. No cash was taken during the incident and no one was injured. In an earlier appeal, the suspect was described as a white man wearing dark clothing and white trainers. He ran off in the direction of Springbank Road. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the person responsible is asked to contact DC Paul Matthews of the Volume Crime Team at Kirkleatham Police Office on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
