CD; WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU LOSE I do believe everyone has lost something or someone at one point in their lives and that is their response to the event that determines the impact on their lives! I have lost severally and quite frankly apart from the unbearable pain I felt, we were raised not to as God “Why” because that would display an attitude of unbelief, a lack of trust and an utter disregard for God’s Sovereignty. And the times when I finally did ask it was mostly from a point of despair and disappointment, not really caring what attitude that might display! I know that nothing ever happens to a Child of God if it wasn’t allowed by God and that when He allows us to lose, it’s for a purpose! When I listened to this message I began to recall some of the things I have lost in my life….some that I am still in denial about! Pretending it never happened and ignoring the whole thing. Some things too painful to even talk about here! I began to ask myself, is it too late to ask God why it happened? Will God even hear or answer?? I also recall the times when I did ask God why he allowed something to happen to me and as far as I remember, I didn’t get any answer, It was painful… after a while I just stopped asking! Should I revisit all those times I lost and buried the events, because they were too painful to confront. Hmmmm!!! One thing is certain, God loves me and whatever he lets happen to me is for a greater purpose, though I may not understand how…. Thank you for reminding me once again that Gods plans for me are for good! To prosper me and to give me an expected end! ACTION I MUST TAKE I will seek to ask God what exactly I am suppose to see or discover as a result of anything I have lost! I must deal with every unresolved issue and question in my life over things I have lost and ascend above every inhibiting thoughts as regards this. I will begin to thank Him in all things and maintain an attitude of gratitude understanding that all things work together for them that love God even if it means losing something precious! CHANGES I MUST MAKE I will cease to grieve and be angry or complain about my losses and submit myself to God who knows how to make all things beautiful in His time!
