CELEBRATION OF FELECIAS GRADUATION Let me start by extending profound thanks to all my fb family who liked or commented on the last status I posted under the caption: The Story of Me and Felecia Barsee. I do not know why I made that post the way I did and when I did, but I am glad I did. This is a follow-up to the previous. On Yesterday, Felecia received her bachelor’s degree with honors in General Agriculture. Upon her insistence, I made the trip to Gbarnga. I purposely avoided the Commencement Convocation and proceeded to her graduation reception which was held at Gboveh Hill. I became teary when I saw Felecia sitting behind her degree. She warmly embraced me and said to me “ Thanks for coming and you must say something to my people.” The crowd at the reception was colorful. The atmosphere was festive with dancing and jubilation filling the air. She was laden with gifts and everyone who spoke, referred to her morality, sense of purpose and determination. Pathetically, her grandfather died in April. On hand to celebrate with her was her grandmother. I got to meet her husband-in-waiting, and what a nice young man he was.
