CENSUS FOR BERMUDA 1931 - I cant wait for this boy of mine to fix my scanner, so I will have to type this Bermuda History. You really should know. Taken from Bushells Handbook the 1937 Edition. In 1931 Bermudas population was 27,789 people........ 6,090 MALE (white) - 5,263 FEMALE (white) - 8,084 MALE (Coloured - as written) - 8,352 FEMALE (Coloured - as written). What I found of further interest is the breakdown of Nationalities. Bermudians 20,792; British Dominions 3,348 ( I think this would be persons from the Caribbean Islands); British subjects 798; British naturalized 27; Italians 21; Austro-Hungarian (as written) 7; Portuguese 1649; Swedish 16; French 21; Spanish 3; German 18; Danish 6; Russian 5; Norwegian 12; USA 914; OTHERS 151. There are totals for each parish also. Now did you find this of interest?
