CEO Mr. Walid Mushtaq met with Federal Minister for Education at a high level meeting today in Ministry of Education, standards and training. The Minister of Education Engr. Baleegh ur Rehman invited Walid Mushtaq to discuss the possibility of public private partnership in promoting education in Pakistan. The meeting addressed the issues in education standards and highlighted the need to achieve global priority to put education first. It aimed to strengthen the ties between the public and private sector in the field of education, and also increase the involvement of the private sector in education. Mr. Walid Mushtaq CEO Roots International Schools shared stories of success in RIS, spoke on scaling solutions for the prevalent issues faced by nations regarding education, and also enlightened the gathering with the new ventures RIS is working on. According to Mr. Walid, the meeting explored how governments and the private sector can work together in constructive partnerships to jump-start much-needed efforts that will place education first. It provided an open forum to explore how to create real, sustainable and scalable change at global and local levels. Education, Employment and Equity are often looked at in isolation from each other. The Forum tested this conventional wisdom by examining the transformational impact expanded educational opportunities can have on social and economic development.
